Papa John’s Board Member and Franchisee Shaquille O’Neal recently surprised dozens of team members and fans in Los Angeles as part of Papa John’s newest marketing campaign called “A Better Day.” The campaign includes three television ads, which will begin airing nationally on Thursday, September 5th, featuring O’Neal making pizzas with Papa John’s team members and engaging Los Angeles residents across the city during deliveries at different locations

This campaign is about more than our pizza, it is about bringing people together and celebrating the communities where our guests live. “I had a blast making these commercials and you’ll see that come through on screen,” said O’Neal. “As a Papa John’s board member and franchisee, I’m invested in the business based on my belief that pizza is fun and it brings us all together.”

The “Better Day” commercials showcase how O’Neal’s role goes far beyond a typical “spokesperson.” At Papa John’s, he’s fully embedded into the company, as a store owner, a member of the board and an integral part of the communities he serves. These commercials are just the beginning, as the campaign will include additional candid moments with O’Neal and community engagement in select local cities in the coming months, among other elements.
