On May 20th, 2019 we celebrated our first-ever Papa John’s Day of Service in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our team members got out of restaurants and offices to volunteer with Clubs across the country including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Louisville, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Papa John’s employees joined in on a variety of projects including helping with homework, painting art rooms, and beautifying gardens, just to name a few, all capped off with pizza parties for kids and volunteers!

“A Boys & Girls Club is a safe, inviting, educational and informational center in each community. Papa John’s Day of Service provided a great way to spend time with the kids and teens and help out with some much needed projects at locations across the country. We are excited to grow our partnership with Papa John’s team members.” Chad Royal-Pascoe, National Vice President Corporate & Cause Partnerships, Boys & Girls Clubs of America said.

In East Scarborough, near Toronto, our newest Board Member, Shaquille O’Neal, brought along plenty of pizzas and surprised Boys & Girls Club members and their families. Shaq took to the basketball court with some of kids to work on their basketball skills.

This service day was all about celebrating communities where we work and live. Our franchisees have a strong history of supporting local charitable organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, and The Papa John’s Foundation for Building will help continue this effort.
