In 2010, our restaurant's journey with the Harvest Program began with a commitment to reducing food waste and supporting our communities. In partnership with Food Donation Connection, 95% of our corporate restaurants implemented a food rescue program where abandoned orders are donated to local food banks or nonprofits. By donating these surplus meals, our restaurants are not only providing food to those in need but also playing a crucial role in helping us reach our goal of donating 10 million meals by 2027.

Over the last 15 years, the Harvest Program has been incredibly successful, making a significant impact on communities across the country. Through our dedicated efforts, we have donated more than 4.2 million meals to those facing food insecurity. Brandon Hobbs, a General Manager in the Atlanta market, continues to uphold our commitment to building better communities by championing the Harvest Program at his restaurant in Northwest Atlanta. Brandon and his team have donated more than 15,000 products to the Salvation Army through the Harvest Program.

Their community outreach efforts extend beyond the Harvest Program and include partnerships with organizations like the Georgia Institute of Technology, a university with nearly 40,000 students. Additionally, they collaborate with the Safe House Outreach program, which provides essential services such as hot meals, health and hygiene assistance, and housing support to individuals in need. Each week, they also donate around 15 pizzas to local community organizations.

Reflecting on the Harvest Program’s success, Brandon shared, “The Harvest Program is something I hold in high regard. As a child, I benefited from similar initiatives, and I make sure my team understands its importance. By working together, we provide meals to families in need, which helps prevent hunger and fosters a strong sense of purpose and community among my team members. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that we can provide meals to those in need and make a tangible difference in our community."

When you become a team member at a Papa Johns near you, you too can help us make an impact in your local community.
