In recent months, I've enjoyed spending time getting to know our franchisees, General Managers and team members. Their passion for making pizza is infectious. We make a fantastic product that delights our consumers, but to deliver on our promise of “Better Ingredients. Better Pizza.” we also need to ensure that our suppliers share our commitment to Better

In Denver, I recently visited Leprino Foods, the largest mozzarella manufacturer in the world. Leprino, a family-owned company, has supplied our restaurants with a special blend of cheese since 1984, and today this cheese from Leprino is used to make our pizzas in markets across the globe. 

I got to see firsthand how they help us bring our brand promise to life each day.  I spent time with their leadership team, including Lance FitzSimmons, their incoming CEO. Like we craft our pizzas in our restaurants every day, the Leprino team crafts the  cheese we use on our pizzas with precision, care, and an unwavering dedication to quality. The Leprino team is fully committed to mozzarella cheese – in fact, it’s the only type of cheese they make.

Lance and the leadership team took me throughout their headquarters, explaining each stage of the cheese-making process. I was impressed by their efforts to reduce environmental impacts across their operations. From energy-efficient equipment to innovative waste management practices, Leprino is leading the way in sustainable cheese production. We also had a great time doing a food review of Leprino’s cheese on our products.
