September is always a special month at Papa Johns as we commemorate Hunger Action Month, which is a time to raise awareness and take action against hunger, a significant issue affecting millions of people worldwide. Here at Papa Johns, we believe in giving back to our communities, and what better way to do that than by fighting hunger together?

Consider this: One in nine people worldwide suffers from hunger, and in the United States alone, over 35 million people face food insecurity. At Papa Johns, we believe that no one should go hungry, and we're committed to making a positive impact.

In 2022, Papa Johns, together with the Papa Johns Foundation, announced our commitment to donate 10 million meals to those in need by 2027. We’re thrilled to share that we’re more than halfway to reaching our goal and have already donated 6.2 million meals. We’re making significant progress, but there’s still more to do.

Throughout September, our Restaurant Support Centers across the globe hosted various volunteer activities, giving our team members a chance to make a real difference. Here's a glimpse of how we got involved:

Louisville team members participated in Dare to Care’s National "Food Fight" Volunteer Day
Louisville: Our team participated in Dare to Care’s National "Food Fight" Volunteer Day and organized a food drive to gather donations. Together, they donated a grand total of 5,959 meals to the Louisville community.

Papa Johns team members pack meals.
Atlanta: The Atlanta crew packed more than 4,000 meals with Hands on Atlanta which were delivered to two local Title 1 schools.

Milton-Keynes team members collect food during Hunger Action Month
Milton Keynes: Team members in Milton Keynes filled up two cars to get the 40 pounds of food collected during their Hunger Action Month food drive to their community food bank.

So, how can you get involved? Whether it’s volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word, every action counts. Together, we can help fight hunger and make our communities better places to live.
