Papa Johns invites you to Meet the Makers – the people in our restaurants whose pride in pizza craftsmanship makes it possible to deliver on our promise of Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. Across the channels where we engage with customers, Papa Johns is celebrating the passion and joy our team members have for crafting great pizzas.
“Meet the Makers is a platform inspired by the commitment to quality that Papa Johns is known for,” said Jenna Bromberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Papa Johns. “The quality of the products we craft and the experiences we deliver are placed front and center by showcasing the craftsmanship of our team members as a key ingredient that sets us apart from others.”
Meet the Makers will come to life through partnerships with food influencers and real Papa Johns team members, who will share behind-the-scenes looks at Papa Johns, as well as some of their favorite custom pizza creations.
“There is a magic that people feel inside a Papa Johns restaurant,” Bromberg said. “You see, hear – and then taste – the enthusiasm and joy of our team members, and Meet the Makers is tapping into that emotional connection our team members have with their craft.”
The first 30-second spot in the Meet the Makers platform captures the enthusiasm and pride found inside a Papa Johns restaurant, as well as the care taken with each step of the pizza-making process, in a fast-paced and energetic style:
The personalities featured in the first spot are further introduced in a video celebrating the camaraderie among the people behind the pizzas and their shared passion for pizza craftsmanship:
This authentic, human-centric tone will also be used to introduce customers to Papa Johns team members as they take over the brand’s social channels.
The first of these collabs features Papa Johns team member and TikTok star Jacob Bartoli, known as Doughtoli. Known for showing off his dough-throwing skills in videos shot from the makeline of his Papa Johns restaurant, Doughtoli helped kick off Meet the Makers by showing fans how he turns a stuffed crust into a Papa Johns Epic Stuffed Crust:

“The personalities of our team member give us such authentic, compelling ways to highlight our quality ingredients and how we use those ingredients,” Bromberg said. “We’re letting our team members take the mic and show how they create pizzas they are proud of and that their customers will enjoy.”
Papa Johns menu promotions will also be supported through Meet the Makers, beginning with a 15-second spot touting a national offering for the fan-favorite Epic Stuffed Crust:
Created in partnership with the Martin Agency, Meet the Makers will come to life across national TV advertising, paid online media and organic and paid social media, including partnerships with food influencers and tastemakers.
